I was born in Surrey, BC in 1991 to parents Kent & Jen Redekop. We lived there full time for the first dozen years of my life but spent every summer in the Shuswap before finally making the move here full time in 2004, and haven't looked back since! Kent grew up in Kamloops, and Jen grew up in Tsawassen before moving to the Kamloops area as a teen. This is truly home for our family, and I don't think I'll ever leave the area.

Kent & Jen golfing Talking Rock! | Family Reunion on Little Shuswap Lake! |
Starting in 2007, I began working at the Quaaout Lodge and Talking Rock Resort in Chase as a golf cart attendant for the brand new course. Moving from golf carts, to front desk for the hotel, to the pro shop, and finally working in the restaurant as a server and bartender, I believe my experience gained in these positions has helped prepare me for my dealings in the real estate world. The resort and conference centre hosts clientele from all over the world, and houses one of the nicest championship courses in the province. I left in 2013 before earning my real estate license through the UBC Sauder School of Business that winter, and became fully licensed in Spring 2014.

Growing up, playing music has always been my passion, and I've been lucky enough to have had the awesome opportunity to start a band and tour BC with them between 2011-2013. City of Sparks was a four piece classic rock group and played everywhere from the Interior Savings Centre in Kamloops, Haney Heritage Park in Salmon Arm, to awesome Granville Street venues in Vancouver The Roxy and Joe's Apartment. Though I am no longer playing shows at this time, you can find me playing a guitar or keyboard in my home bunker at least once a day without fail. Music is a great release after a hard day!

The Shuswap area is filled with many awesome things to do in both summer and winter. As a Shuswapian through and through, I have done my best to partake in the local flavour as often as I can, and have enjoyed years of dirt biking, snowmobiling, golfing, boating, skydiving and much more. If you are on the fence about coming to this excellent 4 season playground, consider the prime access we have to some of the best recreation in the province, and probably even the country!

Hitting the trails for an excursion! | Skydive Salmon Arm with the Boys! | Spending time on Little Shuswap! |
Both my parents and myself are suckers for punishment in regards to hockey, and as lifelong Canucks fans we've seen a few ups and our fair share of downs! Very exciting to see the young guns getting a chance in the bigs, and hopefully this new core will bring us a cup one day soon. Horvat, Boeser, Petey and the boys have us amped every game with some great plays, and the future looks bright!

After completing my licensing with UBC, I began to work alongside my dad and fellow local agent Kent Redekop at Century 21 Lifestyles in Salmon Arm. He has been licensed to sell Real Estate in BC since 1987, and has consistently been a top producer over the course of his 32 year tenure with over 2100 successful transactions. Kent's been a great mentor to me and many others over the years, and has been a major factor in my smooth entry into this business. In 2015, we made the move to Homelife Salmon Arm Realty and have very much enjoyed the interactions with the Homelife team.
My approach to marketing involves using innovative technology, including use of high-res media including photos and aerial videography. I carry an online presence for listings including this website, Kijiji, Facebook, the MLS system & Realtor.ca, and the Homelife Salmon Arm Realty brokerage website. I also advertise in the Salmon Arm Observer newspaper and area specific local newsletters (The North Shuswap Kicker, South Shuswap Scoop etc.)

I recently purchased a house in June of 2018, and have been enjoying the challenge & responsibility of keeping the home base running. My girlfriend of 5 years and I live a quiet lifestyle, but enjoy the company of dogs, taking her family's or my family's pets for the weekend whenever we can squeeze it.
